Contract: 6 Months (Convertible to Permanent upon Good Performance)

Work Week: 6 Days (Monday – Saturday)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and technically competent Site Engineer (Civil) to support the construction and execution of a pre-sedimentation water treatment plant project in Lubok China, Malacca.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on civil construction experience and be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating with project stakeholders, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely progress and quality delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections, surveys, measurements, and quality checks to ensure construction standards are maintained.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential technical issues, risks, delays, or discrepancies at site.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports, progress updates, site records, and other required documentation.
• Ensure strict adherence to site safety requirements, environmental regulations, and company procedures.
• Assist in identifying and resolving technical and operational issues during construction.
• Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to ensure proper execution of works.
• Support project documentation, including material records, site diaries, inspection records, and progress reports.
• Liaise closely with the QAQC team to ensure quality assurance and compliance with project requirements.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on project progress and technical matters.
• Perform other site engineering duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant site engineering experience, preferably in water treatment, infrastructure, civil construction, or related projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods, site practices, quality assurance, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of MS Project or other project management/scheduling tools will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Willing and able to work full-time at the project site in Lubok China, Malacca until project completion.
• Candidates with experience in water treatment plant or civil infrastructure projects will have an added advantage.
