Kitchen Helpers

Key Responsibilities


Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients for meal production, including washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning vegetables, fruits, meat, and other food items.
Prepare and serve local breakfast items such as bread, toast, soft-boiled eggs, and other breakfast set meals.
Operate and maintain the beverage and fruit stall, including preparing hot and cold beverages, fruit cups, and fruit juices.
Replenish food, beverages, and supplies throughout operating hours.
Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation and basic cooking duties.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, beverage station, fruit stall, dining area, and food preparation equipment.
Wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations, ensuring proper sanitation standards are maintained.
Receive, store, and organize food supplies and ingredients according to food safety requirements.
Follow all food hygiene, workplace safety, and company operating procedures.
Support catering activities and company events whenever required.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Operations Manager.


Requirements


Primary, Secondary, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
Possession of a valid Food Safety (Level 1) certificate or equivalent will be an advantage Prior experience in a canteen, coffee shop, food court, restaurant, or central kitchen will be an advantage.
Experience in preparing local breakfast items (e.g. toast, bread, soft-boiled eggs) is preferred.
Experience operating a beverage or fruit stall will be an added advantage.
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and perform manual handling tasks.
Positive attitude, responsible, and able to work effectively in a team.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food quality and hygiene standards.
Willing to work on weekends when required.
