Software Quality Assurance – Team Lead

Employment Type: Fixed Contract – 1 Year

Location: Petaling Jaya

Salary: Up to RM8000

Experience: 6–10 years of Software QA experience and 2–3 years of QA Team Lead/leadership experience.

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced QA Team Lead to lead QA activities across software development projects, define testing strategies, manage QA resources, and ensure high-quality software delivery throughout the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the QA team.
• Define test strategies, plans, timelines, and risk mitigation.
• Review test scenarios, test cases, and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Coordinate Functional, Integration, System, Regression, UAT, Performance, and Security Testing.
• Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
• Monitor testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness.
• Drive QA process improvement and test automation practices.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of Software QA experience.
• 2–3 years of QA Team Lead/leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, Manual Testing, Test Planning, and Defect Management.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, API Testing (Postman), and tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of CI/CD and Risk Management.
• Experience with enterprise-scale applications and multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.

Good to Have

• Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• JMeter or LoadRunner.
• AWS/Azure and DevOps.
• Microservices and REST API automation.
• Banking/Insurance domain experience.
• Camunda/BPM testing experience.
