On a typical day, I address and resolve supply chain issues related to raw materials and finished goods by collaborating with suppliers and contract manufacturers. I also work on cost reduction projects to increase savings and revenue for the company. One important lesson I've learned is that time is money in the supply chain industry, as it directly impacts sales, earnings, and customer satisfaction. It is crucial for a workplace to have a culture that allows for flexibility, transparency, and open communication between employers and employees. The most challenging aspect of my job is when there are barriers to information flow that hinder decision-making and increase risk. However, the most rewarding part is when supply chain and other major issues are successfully resolved through teamwork.
