Petrochemicals (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the first polystyrene (PS) producer in ASEAN is a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd., Japan. Established in 1972 and being a pioneer in Malaysia, the company had the honour to name herself with the name of the industry. Having gone through various phases of expansion and diversification, the company has today become the leading PS player in the region. Its total High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) capacity is 110,000 metric tons per annum.
