What You’ll Be Doing

Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering both tax compliance and advisory services with a practical, business-focused approach
Accountable for meeting all deliverable timelines, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule
Lead and support junior team members, ensuring smooth execution of assignments while guiding their development
Handle a wide range of tax matters, including:
- Full scope of personal and corporate tax compliance
- SST advisory and treatment
- Tax incentive applications
- Global mobility tax services
- Tax audits, investigations, and appeals
Conduct tax research and interpret legislation, applying it to real client scenarios
Draft advisory reports, technical opinions, and tax appeal submissions
Review tax computations and filings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Identify risks, opportunities, and practical improvements to strengthen clients’ tax positions
Take a practical, value-driven approach—focusing on what truly matters to clients rather than immaterial or non-impactful issues.

What We’re Looking For

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CTIM or equivalent)
3–6 years of relevant tax experience (Senior / Assistant Manager level)
Solid exposure to Malaysian taxation, including personal tax, corporate tax, and SST
Experience in tax audits, investigations, or appeals is a strong advantage
Strong technical foundation with the ability to interpret tax legislation and apply it practically
Good analytical thinking with strong commercial awareness—you’re able to spot issues, connect the dots, and suggest improvements
Comfortable using Excel and relevant tax/accounting software
Able to communicate clearly and confidently with clients and team members
Capable of working independently, managing multiple deadlines, and taking ownership of your work
Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in growing in the tax field

REMS started as a group of tax professionals with wide and deep tax experience, gained from a collective 100 years of experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.
