Scandata Systems began its operation in the year 1987 with 4 people and a single product line to the 30-staff strength, offering a multiple products and services in the Auto ID industry. Scandata Systems was instrumented to introduce the International Article Numbering (EAN), from Brussels, Belgium to Malaysia in 1998. In view of the enormous business potential in the bar coding industry, Scandata Systems took the opportunity to produce and supply film masters and labels for source marking, provide total bar coding solution, systems integration and also one of the major distributors of bar coding equipment not only in Malaysia but also to the neighbouring ASEAN countries.Scandata Systems further developed its expertise to include technology better known as Automatic Identification Technology (Auto ID) like Smartcard; biometrics; magnetic stripe card; optical mark and character recognition; radio frequency identification and data communication; 2 Dimensional Barcode.
