In every facility the assets are king; from the smallest bolt to the largest AHU. Typically asset information is held on different platforms, in different formats and is passed along a project in cumbersome, error-laden increments. Sharing data between the main stakeholders has been a time-consuming, error-prone, expensive and lengthy process. Estimates of the time spent locating data over actually using it in a project have been benchmarked at between 30% to 40%.

 

ZuTec is now offering next generation software where asset data, not documents, is captured at the beginning of every project. Data lives through the entire lifecycle of a project from initial specification through to handover. Data is the living component of any project but before it had been consigned to static paper or marginally more active scanned documents. However, with data now stored in live tables, each component can be tagged, bar-coded, checked and monitored at all times. This is supplemented with on-site mobile devices so paper is eliminated at every stage. The data captured by mobile tablets only requires synching via WIFI.
