Job Summary:

In this role, you will grow a team, grow client relationships, grow the tax business and ultimately grow and transform yourself from technical execution to business leadership within the Group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of tax professionals to strengthen technical expertise and delivery standards.
• Oversee tax planning, compliance, budgets, timelines, and deliverables for a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients.
• Review tax computations, returns, and statutory filings to ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax laws and statutory deadlines.
• Support advisory engagements on tax structuring, tax incentives, cross-border transactions, stamp duty, SST matters, tax audits, and dispute resolution.
• Build long-term client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and contribute to business development for YYC Group’s tax practice.
• Drive operational efficiency, leverage tech solutions, and stay ahead of changes in Malaysian tax legislation.

Job Requirement:

• Professionally qualified or holds a degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation.
• Has 5+ years of tax experience, including management/team leadership experience.
• Candidates currently working as an Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Supervisor, with extensive experience in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries, are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Confident in communicating with clients and building long-term relationships.
• Leadership and people management skills to lead the team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
