Your tasks

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our global Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will primarily focus on local accounting tasks while collaborating closely with our Belgian headquarters to maintain accurate bookkeeping and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves various tasks such as:

• Process vendor and sales invoices for the APAC region.
• Maintain organized records of the company's accounting documents, financial statements and other related documentation.
• Take ownership of the Malaysian entity Financial Statements including quarterly and yearly closing.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements by updating management on the local regulatory evolutions.
• Collaborate with the team and tax agent to file tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and authorities to address tax-related issues and inquiries.
• Prepare the required reporting for manufacturing license, LMW license and other governmental licenses.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assistance as required.
• Take ownership of group tasks such as vendor/customer creation, Sales Order creation and follow-up.
• Willingness to undertake additional tasks within the broader administrative scope as needed.

The ideal candidate has

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 5 years of proven experience in accounting/finance roles
• Strong understanding of local accounting principles and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
