Job Description
We are seeking a Robotics Control Engineer to develop and integrate motion planning and control solutions for humanoid and industrial robots in real-world manufacturing environments. The role involves developing robotic control capabilities, integrating multiple control components, and supporting the deployment of reliable motion planning solutions for complex manipulation tasks. Candidates should have a strong foundation in robotics control and motion planning, with proficiency in C++ and/or Python. Experience or interest in humanoid robotics, ROS/ROS2, real-time control, EtherCAT, and industrial automation is highly valued.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust humanoid control capabilities for a variety of context-rich robotic manipulation tasks in manufacturing environments.
- Design, develop, and test functional prototypes and ROS-based robotics solutions for real-world manufacturing applications.
- Develop and integrate motion planning and control modules to support robotic applications and manipulation tasks.
- Support the development and deployment of application-specific motion planning solutions.
- Integrate and orchestrate multiple control components to achieve reliable and coordinated robot behavior.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to deliver solutions and meet project milestones.
- Troubleshoot, validate, and optimize robotic systems through simulation, experimentation, and real-world testing.
- Contribute to technical discussions, documentation, system demonstrations, and engagement with industry stakeholders.
Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or a related field.
- Motion Planning & Control: Strong foundational knowledge of motion planning and control methodologies.
- Programming: Proficiency in programming, particularly in C++ and/or Python.
- System Integration: Ability to integrate and orchestrate multiple control components to support robotic applications.
- Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, document technical work, and present ideas and findings clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Malaysia.
- Humanoid Robotics: Interest in or exposure to humanoid robot control system development, or a demonstrated interest in humanoid robotics projects.
- ROS/ROS2: Practical experience with ROS/ROS2, or a demonstrated interest in robotics software development and robotic operating systems.
- Real-Time Control: Interest or experience in developing real-time robotic control applications using EtherCAT or other real-time communication technologies.
- Industrial Robotics: Experience in or strong interest in industrial automation, manufacturing environments, or robotic manipulation.
