About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic interns to join our Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams at our Johor Bahru site. This internship offers an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction and contracts management sector, working alongside experienced engineers and project professionals. You will support real-world projects and contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and electrical systems within construction environments. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build a foundation in engineering practice within the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the preparation of mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Supporting site inspections and monitoring of mechanical and electrical installations
• Gathering data and assisting in the compilation of progress reports for mechanical and electrical works
• Liaising with contractors, suppliers and team members to facilitate smooth project coordination
• Contributing to the preparation of method statements and construction schedules related to M&E work
• Assisting in the review of mechanical and electrical compliance with project specifications and relevant codes
• Supporting the contracts management team in documentation, correspondence and record-keeping
• Observing and learning from experienced professionals in real construction environments

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled a background from Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• Strong interest in construction, engineering and contracts management
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Attention to detail and a commitment to health, safety and quality standards
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a dynamic project environment
• Enthusiasm to learn and willingness to take on various responsibilities
• Willing to be based at site in Johor Bahru, 6 working days from Monday - Saturday (8am - 5pm)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM800.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
