Requirements:
Degree or Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within a CNC machining or precision engineering environment.
At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong exposure to CNC milling, CNC turning, machining centres, and precision component manufacturing.
Strong understanding of: CNC machining processes, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis, Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Hands-on experience using CMM and precision measurement equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management & Assurance
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures for CNC machining operations.
Ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Monitor and analyze quality performance indicators and generate periodic quality reports.
Lead internal quality audits and support external customer and certification audits.
CNC Manufacturing Quality Control
Review CNC machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and product conformance.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
Verify machining processes through First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
Ensure the proper use and calibration of precision measuring instruments including CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges and etc.
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and CNC Programming teams to resolve quality concerns.
Team Leadership & Management
Supervise, coach, and develop QC inspectors and technicians.
Allocate inspection resources effectively to meet production schedules.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
Foster a strong quality culture across manufacturing operations.
Continuous Improvement
Lead quality improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies.
Reduce rejection rates, customer complaints, and production defects. - Drive preventive quality initiatives to improve process capability and efficiency.
Customer & Supplier Quality
Address customer quality concerns and coordinate corrective actions.
Conduct supplier quality evaluations and audits where required.
Prepare and maintain quality documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, 8D reports, PPAPs, and CAPA records.
