Job Description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Architecture or a related discipline

  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in project design, design management or senior architectural roles within the engineering or construction sector

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering principles, design standards and best practices

  • Proficiency in design and CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar industry-standard tools

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

  • Fluent in Mandarin (both written and spoken) as this is essential for this role."We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."

  • Professional registration or licensure as an engineer or architect in Malaysia or internationally, or willingness to obtain such credentials

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions on time and within budget

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Experience in large-scale residential, commercial or mixed-use development projects is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital design tools would be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design and architectural direction of assigned projects from conceptual stage through to final delivery

  • Oversee electrical and electronic engineering design aspects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes and regulations

  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, architects, contractors and stakeholders to align design objectives with project goals

  • Develop and review design specifications, technical drawings and project documentation

  • Conduct design reviews, quality assurance checks and provide constructive feedback to design teams

  • Manage design budgets, timelines and resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget

  • Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies to address design-related queries and obtain necessary approvals

  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements in electrical and electronic engineering

  • Mentor and support junior design staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development

  • Prepare and present design proposals, progress reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
