EQUIPMENT TEST TECHNICIAN

Job Responsibilities  

1. Equipment Setup & Qualification

  • Perform test equipment installation, setup, conversion, and buyoff activities.

  • Support equipment transfer, qualification, and readiness for production use.

  • Assist in new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing ramp activities.

  • Execute tester and handler configuration changes as required.

3. Equipment Troubleshooting & Recovery

  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of tester, handler, and peripheral equipment issues.

  • Diagnose and recover equipment from electrical, mechanical, software, and hardware failures.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and procedures to identify root causes and restore operations.

  • Escalate complex issues to engineering teams and support corrective actions.

4. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established procedures and schedules.

  • Ensure PM tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

  • Maintain proper maintenance records and documentation.

5. Production Support

  • Provide frontline technical support to manufacturing operations.

  • Respond rapidly to equipment downtime events to minimize production impact.

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for reliability improvement.

  • Support continuous production operation through effective shift coverage and issue resolution.

6. Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Repair, replace, and adjust equipment components as required.

  • Assist with equipment restoration, refurbishment, and rebuild activities.

  • Support equipment modifications and upgrades under engineering guidance.

  • Verify equipment functionality following maintenance or repair activities.

7. Spare Parts & Tools Management

  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory for critical manufacturing equipment.

  • Ensure maintenance tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments are available and in good condition.

  • Support inventory tracking and replenishment of critical spare parts.

8. Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance work instructions.

  • Support workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Deliverables

  • Sustain high equipment uptime and availability.

  • Complete preventive maintenance according to schedule.

  • Minimize equipment downtime through timely troubleshooting and recovery.

  • Ensure equipment readiness for production, conversion, and qualification activities.

  • Support successful manufacturing ramp-up and capacity expansion initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor test equipment, handlers, and manufacturing systems.

  • Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability practices.

  • Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.

  • Proficiency in Englist is amust

  • Willing to work shift (Same as operators) (7.00am -7.00pm & 7.00pm - 7.00am)
