Location: Chew Jetty, 10300 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–7:00pm; Saturday, 10:00am–2:00pm flexible WFH and deliverable-focused
Make the webstore easier for customers—and easier for the business to run.
The value of this role is not only to “build things”. You will reduce the business team’s daily workload by turning unclear needs into practical improvements, so the webstore becomes smoother, faster and less dependent on developers for every small task.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
Strong written English, clear thinking, structured reporting and confident communication.
Able to communicate in Mandarin for internal collaboration.
Strong market research, multi-platform exploration, data analysis and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable starting from ambiguous or incomplete requirements and turning them into executable solutions.
Self-driven learner with genuine interest in technology and a track record of applying new skills.
Uses AI tools effectively for research, analysis, content, documentation, automation and problem solving.
Commercially aware: able to interpret basic traffic, sales, conversion and customer-behaviour data and propose improvements.
Good visual judgement and able to produce clean, consistent and professional outcomes without constant design supervision.
Experience with e-commerce platforms, web analytics, UX, CRO, CMS or automation is an advantage.
Responsibilities
1. Improve Customer Experience
Improve page speed, navigation, product search and filtering, with a mobile-first mindset.
Reduce friction in checkout and proactively identify where customers get stuck or abandon their purchase.
2. Build Trust, Reviews and Customer Support
Build and improve review-collection workflows, automated review invitations and how reviews appear on the website.
Make delivery tracking, returns, FAQs and product information easy to find before and after purchase.
Reduce negative feedback caused by failed orders, unclear information and website errors.
3. Improve Conversion and Sales
Optimise product pages, recommendations, bundles, cross-sells and abandoned-cart recovery.
Use a continuous loop: review data, form a hypothesis, run a test and validate the result.
4. Improve Website Quality
Maintain a premium, professional and trustworthy brand presentation across layout, spacing, imagery and typography.
5. Reduce Daily Management Cost
Automate repetitive back-office processes and make common updates manageable for non-technical colleagues.
Create clear operating documentation so knowledge and routine work do not depend on one person.
6. Explore and Solve
Research new platforms, tools and market practices; turn useful findings into practical proposals.
Work with business, product, marketing and technical stakeholders to prioritise and deliver improvements.
