Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Halal or related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years in QA/QC within food manufacturing (preferably FMCG industry).

  • Strong understanding of FSSC, HACCP, GMP, HALAL, and food safety requirements.

  • Knowledge of Malaysian food regulations and labeling requirements.

  • Understanding of allergen control and cross-contamination prevention.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Good documentation, analysis report preparation and reporting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring all vegetarian food products meet company quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role covers both quality assurance (system, documentation, compliance) and quality control (inspection, testing, monitoring) across the production process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections to ensure product quality and compliance.

  • Records all findings of inspection onto check sheets.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to FSSC, HACCP, GMP, and HALAL.

  • Perform routine quality checks, sampling, and testing of raw materials and finished products.

  • Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Ensure proper documentation of quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCR).

  • Work closely with production team to ensure compliance with specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Support internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certification audits.

  • Verify hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices within the production area.

  • Monitor and control product labelling, packaging, and traceability requirements.

  • Assist in handling customer complaints and product recalls, including investigation and reporting.

  • Ensure all vegetarian/plant-based product claims and segregation requirements are maintained (e.g., no cross-contamination).
