Role Description The Senior Production Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at the Pasir Gudang facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that manufacturing targets are met safely, efficiently, and within quality standards. Key tasks include monitoring and optimizing production processes, coordinating production planning, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with maintenance and quality teams to minimize downtime and defects. The Senior Production Engineer will also analyze performance data, recommend process improvements, support continuous improvement initiatives, and provide technical guidance to production staff. In addition, the role involves enforcing safety procedures, participating in audits, and preparing reports for management.

Qualifications

• Strong production engineering expertise, including experience with chemical or oleochemical manufacturing processes.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret production data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Experience in production planning and coordination to meet output, cost, and efficiency targets.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and standards to maintain consistent product quality.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and guiding production personnel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in a senior or lead production engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, risk assessments, and environmental compliance in industrial settings.
• Ability to work on-site in Pasir Gudang and adapt to shift or extended hours as production demands require.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is an advantage.
