About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns to join Ultimate Manufacturing Solutions (M) Sdn. Bhd. on a contract basis. This internship programme is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in the manufacturing sector whilst working alongside experienced professionals. Based in Simpang Ampat, Penang, this is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world industry exposure and develop your professional competencies in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The internship will allow you to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and build a foundation for your career in manufacturing and related fields.

Key responsibilities

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support manufacturing and production teams in daily operations and process optimisation
• Assist with quality control inspections and documentation of manufacturing processes
• Participate in maintenance and equipment support activities under supervision
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and reporting on production metrics
• Learn and apply health and safety protocols in the manufacturing environment
• Support administrative tasks related to production and inventory management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing workflows
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiency projects

What we're looking for

Ideal candidates for this internship will possess:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, business administration, or a related field
• Strong interest in manufacturing processes, industrial operations, or technical fields
• Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and industry practices
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environments
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional work ethic
• Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is advantageous
• Valid driving licence is preferable for the Penang location
