Job description:
Site Inspection & Quality Control
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor construction progress and workmanship.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality standards.
- Verify that materials delivered to site meet project specifications and approved samples.
- Identify construction defects, non-conformance, and poor workmanship, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor rectification works until satisfactory completion.
Construction Monitoring
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities where required.
- Ensure construction follows approved schedules and work sequences.
- Monitor site progress and highlight potential delays or quality issues.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site inspection reports.
- Maintain records of inspections, defects, site instructions, and corrective actions.
- Document construction progress with photographs and inspection checklists.
- Submit timely reports to the Project Manager or Client Representative.
Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and subcontractors regarding quality issues.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on construction quality and site observations.
- Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building by-laws, and industry standards.
- Monitor compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
- Ensure construction activities adhere to approved quality management procedures.
Handover & Defects Liability
- Participate in pre-handover inspections.
- Prepare snagging and defect lists.
- Monitor rectification works during the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
- Assist in final inspections and project close-out.
