The Role
Reporting to: Head of Human Resources
Marlborough College Malaysia is looking to appoint an HR Intern to support our HR team in daily operations, staff engagement, and recruitment within a dynamic school environment. This internship offers hands-on experience across the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding new educators and administrative staff to navigating educational compliance and school-wide culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition Support: Assist with publishing job adverts across relevant recruitment portals, monitor the jobs inbox, and screen incoming CVs and applications to identify suitable candidates for open vacancies.
- Interview Coordination: Liaise with candidates and hiring managers to coordinate interviews, prepare interview-related documentation, and assist with candidate communications and follow-ups to support a smooth recruitment process.
- Applicant Data Management: Log, file, and track all candidate applications in designated HR systems and trackers to maintain accurate recruitment records.
- Onboarding & Compliance: Administer pre-boarding and onboarding processes, following established compliance checklists and guidelines to support new starters.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain professional, clear communication across all channels in line with institutional standards, engaging confidently with candidates, internal teams, parents, and external regulatory bodies.
- Employee Lifecycle & Engagement: Contribute to broader employee lifecycle processes, staff engagement initiatives, and HR team projects as required.
- Other HR Administration: Assist with research, data collation, document preparation, and other administrative tasks for HR projects, as directed by the People Team.
- Confidentiality & Data Protection: Handle candidate and recruitment information responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection, confidentiality, and institutional requirements, with access restricted to information necessary for the role.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Hours of Work
Normal working hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Job Type: Internship
Pay: From RM800.00 per month
