Role: EV ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (MARINE / ELECTRIC PROPULSION SYSTEM)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for electric and hybrid marine vessels
• Work on battery systems, BMS (Battery Management Systems), inverters, and motor drives
• Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control systems
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of EV propulsion systems onboard vessels
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and optimise system performance
• Ensure compliance with marine classification standards (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.)
• Collaborate with naval architects, mechanical engineers, and shipyard teams

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in EV systems, marine, or industrial electrical systems
• Knowledge of battery systems, AC/DC systems, and motor control (PMSM preferred)
• Familiar with BMS, inverters, and power distribution systems
• Ability to read and prepare electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Hands-on experience in installation or commissioning is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred (Bonus Skills):

• Experience with electric vehicles, renewable energy, or hybrid systems
• Knowledge of marine standards and shipyard operations
• Familiar with software/tools like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or MATLAB
