Role Description The Quality Department Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Baharu, responsible for leading the overall quality function within the factory. This role oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems, procedures, and standards to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include managing quality inspection activities, supervising quality team members, analyzing quality data, and driving corrective and preventive actions. The manager collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves coordinating audits, managing customer quality feedback, preparing quality reports, and training employees on quality policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong background in quality management, including experience with quality systems, standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent), and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience in metal processing, CNC machining, or related manufacturing environments, ideally serving medical, aerospace, semiconductor, or communications industries.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop cross-functional quality teams and drive accountability for quality performance.
• Competence in data analysis, root cause analysis, problem-solving tools, and use of quality metrics to guide decision-making and process improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers on quality-related matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with internal and external audits, supplier quality management, and regulatory or customer compliance requirements is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Johor Baharu, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
