Education : Diploma or above

Minimum 5 years of hands-on purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct experience in purchasing production materials/components.

Hands-on experience using an MRP system for material planning, purchase ordering, inventory control, and delivery management.

Handle overall purchasing activities using an MRP system.

Plan purchasing and ordering based on production requirements.

Place purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.

Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Manage and update purchasing data and order status.

Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and other terms with suppliers.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a stable supply of components.

Take on greater responsibility for purchasing operations with potential to progress to an Assistant Manager role.
