We are seeking an experienced Tooling Planner to coordinate tooling schedules, track mold maintenance, and manage operational tooling documentation. In this role, you will align with Tooling Engineers, internal Toolrooms, and sub-contractors to plan new tooling timelines, coordinate ECNs, track repair recovery plans, and keep production tools running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Tooling Schedule & Planning Management: Coordinate and maintain master schedules for new tool builds, ECN modifications, tool buyoffs, and transfers in close alignment with Tooling Engineers.
- Maintenance & Repair Tracking: Coordinate daily mold maintenance, repairs, and modifications with the Toolroom and external molders to ensure timely recovery and minimize production downtime.
- Documentation & TMS System Updates: Update the Tooling Management System (TMS), maintain tooling matrices, track EPR applications, and prepare reports such as FTA, TRRR, and TTNF.
- Supplier & Audit Support: Assist in quarterly tooling audits with suppliers, monitor mold cycle times/capacities, and support 8D quality investigations and customer audits.
Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum Diploma holder in Engineering, Production/Materials Planning, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in production planning, tooling coordination, or engineering administrative control. (Knowledge of plastic injection tooling and molding processes is a strong added advantage).
- Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), and familiarity with ISO quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485).
- Soft Skills & Flexibility: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate across internal departments and external suppliers; willing to support odd hours during urgent production recovery.
Pay: RM4,200.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
