Role Description The Admin IT role is a full-time, on-site position based in Greater Johor Bahru. The individual in this role will handle day-to-day administration of IT systems, including maintaining user accounts, monitoring system performance, and managing network and hardware inventories. Responsibilities include providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting common IT issues, and coordinating with vendors or senior IT staff for more complex problems. The Admin IT team member will help implement basic security practices, support software installations and updates, and ensure that office IT infrastructure runs reliably to support business operations. The role also involves documenting IT procedures, assisting with periodic audits, and delivering user support with a focus on clear communication and timely resolution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Information Technology, including familiarity with operating systems, office hardware, and common business applications.
- Skills in Network Administration and Network Security to support basic configuration, monitoring, and secure use of local networks.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve routine technical issues for systems, applications, and devices.
- Customer Service skills to provide clear, respectful, and solution-focused support to internal users and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, follow documented procedures, and maintain accurate records of IT assets and support activities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language abilities are an advantage in a regional environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in an IT support or administrative role within a corporate or public-sector environment is beneficial.
