Full Time Senior PCIe Gen6 Compliance Validation Engineer Jobs, in ThunderSoft Pulau Pinang - Maukerja

Responsibilities

• Platform Setup & Bring-Up

Assemble and configure PCIe validation platforms and test environments. Install and maintain hardware components including GPUs, PCIe cards, retimers, switches, cables, and fixtures. Configure BIOS, firmware, drivers, and operating systems required for validation activities. Prepare platforms for PCIe Gen5 and Gen6 compliance testing. Maintain compliance test stations and ensure hardware readiness.

• PCIe Compliance Test Execution

Execute PCIe Gen5 and PCIe Gen6 compliance testing according to PCI-SIG CEM specifications. Support transmitter (TX), receiver (RX), Refclk, and margining validation activities. Perform test calibration and equipment verification before execution. Collect waveform captures, screenshots, logs, and compliance reports. Track test status and maintain validation records.

• Platform Debug & Failure Analysis

Debug platform bring-up issues including:

• Link training failures
• Enumeration issues
• Speed downgrade
• Lane degradation
• Compliance test failures

Analyze logs and electrical measurement results. Support root-cause investigation with validation engineers. Reproduce failures and execute workaround validation.

• Lab Equipment Operation

Operate and maintain:

• High-bandwidth Oscilloscopes (Keysight / Tektronix / LeCroy)
• BERT Systems
• PCIe Compliance Fixtures
• Signal Generators
• Reference Clock Measurement Equipment
• Automation Test Platforms

Ensure equipment calibration and readiness.

• Data Collection & Automation Support

Execute automated validation scripts. Organize and archive test results. Generate execution summaries and dashboards. Support basic scripting and automation improvements using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.

Qualifications

Typical Qualifications & Background

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills

Technical Skills: More than 5 years related working experiences in PCIe Compliance Validation, deep familiarity with high-speed serial protocols, signal integrity (SI) principles, and basic programming (Python, Perl, or Bash scripts) for bench automation.

Preferred Skills

Experience: Prior validation experience in lower generations (PCIe Gen5/Gen6) provides an excellent foundation, though Gen6 introduces distinct complexities like multilevel PAM4 signaling and mandatory error correction tracking.
