Job Description

Responsibilities

Purpose Statement: To perform engineering design services and other related product development and/or product commercialization services. Please refer to discipline core skills for specifics.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Maintains work area and assists in maintaining the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab to 6S and ESD standards.
  • Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers.
  • Basic understanding and ability to perform wiring, soldering, crimping and assembly functions to build high quality test systems or products per engineering specifications.
  • Produce an acceptable quantity of work in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  • Perform initial assembly and reworking of rapid prototypes to support the development teams.
  • Ability to develop and deliver feedback during pre and post engineering builds.

Education/Experience Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic Decision making, Problem Solving Skills
  • Basic Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Basic Soldering Skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Familiarity with ESD control
  • General office equipment and materials

Physical Requirements

  • Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
