Laboratory Technician (Gelang Patah, Johor)

Job Responsibilities:

• To pre- treat sample, prepare the calibration standards, standards use as Quality control samples, test reagents.
• To perform test for samples, Quality control samples and plot Quality Control chart if applicable.
• To carry out Intermediate check for equipment, perform verification of laboratory glasswares & meters.
• To comply with the Occupational Safety & Health policy of the Company.
• To maintain the testing equipment as per Equipment maintenance and calibration schedule.
• To ensure all electrical appliances / apparatus are switched off properly in the working area when not in use.
• To maintain the laboratory’s quality system.
• To assist in waste treatment and waste disposal. To do sampling whenever necessary.
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor / Chemist-in-charge / Management.

Job Requirements:

• Certificate in Science (Chemistry) / Diploma in Science (Chemistry / Laboratory Technology) / Diploma in Engineering (Chemical)
• Experienced with Laboratory equipment/instrument handling analysis – eg DSC, HPLC, GC, LPSA, Hg Analyzer, etc
• Fresh graduate is also encourage to apply.
• Ability to perform multi-task in enclosed area.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing (BM & English)
• Basic knowledge in analysis test method in the area of water and wastewater, oil, gas/foam fire performance.
• Willing to work on odd hours.
