SECURITY MANAGER

The Bertam Penang | Marriott-Franchised Property

Location: Kepala Batas, Penang

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall Safety & Security operations of the property.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests, associates, visitors and hotel assets.
• Develop, implement and enforce security policies, SOPs and emergency response procedures.
• Manage security personnel, duty rosters, attendance, training and performance.
• Conduct regular security patrols, risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, incident investigations and security reporting.
• Ensure compliance with BOMBA, OSHA, local regulations and Marriott brand standards.
• Coordinate emergency response, fire drills and Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
• Liaise with PDRM, BOMBA, external security providers and relevant authorities.
• Work closely with all departments to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety & Security, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Previous experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or international hospitality brand is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency preparedness, fire safety and risk management.
• Familiarity with Malaysian safety regulations and hotel security standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, investigation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage security incidents professionally and confidentially.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
• Ex-police or military personnel with relevant hospitality experience are encouraged to apply.

Pay: From RM4,500.00 per month
