Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement through conversion, construction, module integration, commissioning, testing, and handover.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Develop and monitor project execution plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and cost forecasts to ensure timely project completion.
  • Engineering & Technical Coordination: Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, shipyard operations, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Procurement & Contract Management: Oversee procurement activities, subcontractor performance, contractual deliverables, variations, and commercial matters.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the key point of coordination between internal teams, clients, engineering contractors, equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Project Controls & Reporting: Monitor project progress, expenditure, risks, and performance indicators, providing regular updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, manage change control, resolve execution challenges, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • HSE & Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, quality assurance, and quality control requirements throughout all project activities.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Drive system integration, commissioning readiness, testing, documentation, and final handover in accordance with project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum experience managing at least five (5) FPSO projects, with direct involvement in FPSO conversion projects.
  • Ideally, a minimum of two (2) FPSO conversion projects managed end-to-end, from project commencement through completion, integration, commissioning, and handover.
  • Extensive experience in FPSO conversion execution within a shipyard, offshore fabrication, marine engineering, or EPC project environment.
  • Strong understanding of FPSO conversion scopes, including vessel modification, structural works, piping, mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation and control, module integration, and commissioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex project schedules, budgets, resources, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, cost control, risk management, contract administration, and change management.
  • Proven stakeholder management, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Willingness to be based at the project execution location in Malaysia for the duration of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering large-scale FPSO conversion projects for international offshore oil and gas operators.
  • Familiarity with shipyard-based FPSO conversion execution, topside module integration, offshore production facilities, and marine systems.
