Role Description The Factory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Batu Kawan Penang, Malaysia.

As Factory Manager, you will take full ownership of Veenco's manufacturing operations, overseeing fabrication, assembly, busbar processing, finishing, and warehouse functions while driving operational excellence across the plant. You will play a key leadership role in the transition to our new Batu Kawan Smart Factory, helping to build scalable systems, high-performing teams, and efficient manufacturing processes to support Veenco's long-term growth strategy. Working closely with senior leadership, Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and HR, you will ensure our factory consistently delivers products on time, at the highest quality standards, and at optimum cost. reduce operational risk.

• Lead end-to-end factory operations, including fabrication, assembly, busbar processing, finishing, and warehouse activities.
• Drive production planning and scheduling to meet customer delivery commitments and business objectives.
• Spearhead the operational setup, facility transition, machine installation, and ramp-up of Veenco's new smart manufacturing facility.
• Develop and lead production teams, including manpower planning, performance management, coaching, and workforce capability development.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality requirements, EHS standards, and operational best practices.
• Manage equipment utilization, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing resources to maximize operational performance.
• Monitor and report key production KPIs, including on-time delivery, labor efficiency, machine utilization, and quality performance.
• Support Industry 4.0 initiatives by driving ERP and MES integration to enhance production visibility and traceability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 8 years of experience in factory, plant, manufacturing, or operations management.
• Strong experience in sheet metal fabrication, switchgear manufacturing, electrical panel building, or related industrial environments.
• Good understanding of CNC fabrication processes, including laser cutting, punching, bending, and busbar processing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and KPI-driven decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Familiarity with Lean, ERP, MES, Industry 4.0, or Smart Factory initiatives will be an added advantage.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
