Job Description

Responsibilities

Senior Java DeveloperResponsibilities
  • Assess requirements and handle end-to-end development: design, technical specifications, coding, SIT, UAT support, production release, and post-production support.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Java EE/J2EE.
  • Develop REST APIs, web services, JSON integrations, and microservices.
  • Work with Oracle/DB2, including PL/SQL and stored procedures.
  • Troubleshoot applications on JBoss and Tomcat environments.
  • Ensure development follows project standards, security requirements, and coding guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate with users, vendors, and project teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of relevant Java development experience.
  • Strong Spring Boot (mandatory), Spring, Java EE/J2EE, JSP, and Servlets.
  • Strong experience with Oracle 11g+/DB2 10+, PL/SQL, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with RESTful API, Web Services, JSON, and Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with JBoss and Tomcat.
  • Experience with Maven/Jenkins/Jira is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior developers.
  • Insurance industry experience is an advantage.
