Responsibilities

Job Title: Logistic Coordinator

Duration: 1 year 3 months

Location: Johor, Malaysia

This opportunity is with a company focused on the development, conversion, delivery, and operation support of floating production assets for the offshore oil and gas sector. The role supports logistics coordination across purchasing, warehousing, freight management, and material availability, with a strong focus on timely delivery, cost control, and compliance. This position offers exposure to import/export procedures, Incoterms, HS codes, vendor performance, and coordination with logistics service providers and Customs authorities in a fast-paced project environment.

Required Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent professional qualifications

Required Experience

  • At least 7–10 years of relevant work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in materials management, purchasing, expediting, supply, and transportation for oil and gas projects
  • Experience supporting logistics activities in a project-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Experience evaluating quotations, coordinating freight scope, and supporting vendor performance assessment

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, import/export procedures, and international freight management
  • Ability to monitor turnaround time for yard purchases and align delivery with project schedule requirements
  • Ability to track and evaluate logistics and warehousing costs to support cost-effective operations
  • Ability to monitor material availability to reduce shortages and minimize material wastage
  • Strong coordination and communication skills with internal teams, logistics service providers, and government authorities including Customs
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory movement
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic working conditions
  • Ability to support RFQ preparation, freight forwarder coordination, quotation evaluation, and recommendation of suitable logistics options
