Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ relevant construction supervision experience
- Proven experience as a Resident Engineer in infrastructure/water projects
- Familiar with Malaysian standards, authority requirements & contract conditions
- Strong leadership, negotiation & problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication & report-writing skills
- Willing to work full-time on site in Penang
- Registered Professional Engineer (Ir.) with BEM
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project progress to meet timelines
- Review Method Statements, Material Approvals & contractor submissions
- Monitor site quality, QA/QC and construction works
- Lead progress & technical meetings
- Coordinate with clients, authorities, contractors & stakeholders
- Supervise pipeline installation, jointing, testing & backfilling
- Inspect temporary works including cofferdams, shoring, dewatering, TMP & ESCP
- Ensure compliance with site safety, trench safety, confined space & OSHA requirements
- Identify site issues and work with stakeholders to implement effective solutions
