- Analyze production abnormalities and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve yield and reliability.
- Prepare and verify complete process documentation, including process flow diagrams, SOPs, PFMEA, and Control Plans, prior to pilot and mass production.
Prototype, Pilot Run & Mass Production Support
- Lead process and tooling preparation for OTS prototype builds, including fabrication coordination, build tracking, data collection, and process optimization.
- Prepare and review initial process documentation for prototype and pilot builds.
- Monitor, collect, and analyze pilot-run data; generate summary reports and drive process improvements before mass production release.
Equipment & Tooling Management
- Lead process equipment selection, setup, validation, and optimization, including electronic assembly and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues related to battery welding, laser welding, EOL testing, and electronic assembly operations.
- Coordinate tooling design, modification, qualification, and continuous improvement to support production requirements.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze key process and equipment performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
- Apply industrial engineering principles to optimize cycle time, manpower utilization, ergonomics, and process flow.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, delivery, and productivity.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with R&D, Quality, Production, Supplier, and Customer teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes (battery welding, laser welding, EOL testing).
- Skilled in troubleshooting and improving electronic assembly equipment; well-versed in process documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP) and familiar with APQP & PPAP requirements.
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes and experienced in electronic product failure analysis.
- Knowledgeable in industrial engineering practices, mechanical concepts, technical drawing, and human–machine operation coordination.
- Strong logical thinking, analytical capability, and proactive communication and coordination skills
