Safety & Health Officer (SHO)

Location: Ulu Tiram, Johor
Salary: Up to RM6,000 per month

Company Overview

Our client specialises in industrial automation engineering solutions and sheet metal fabrication for industrial applications. They are looking for a qualified Safety & Health Officer to oversee workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental management within their manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DOSH, FMA, and applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and update safety policies, SOPs, legal registers, and EHS documentation.
• Conduct HIRARC assessments, workplace safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Monitor corrective and preventive actions to minimise workplace risks.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Coordinate audits and communicate with relevant regulatory authorities.
• Prepare EHS reports and maintain accurate safety records.
• Organise safety training, emergency response drills, and safety awareness programmes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Valid DOSH Green Book and active registration as a Safety & Health Officer (SHO).
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Practical experience in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 implementation and audits.
• CePSWaM certification is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
