About The Company

A Malaysian building materials manufacturer focusing on production and distribution of metal roofing systems, lightweight structural steel framing, metal frame products, and light-gauge C-channel profiles.

About The Job

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and sustain strong network connections with key decision-makers across Selangor, KL, and Johor, including architects, C&S consultants, quantity surveyors, developers, and project owners.
  • Early-Stage Specification: Intervene early in the design phase to embed product specifications into project documentation prior to Bill of Quantities (BQ) issuance.
  • Technical Advocacy & Training: Deliver technical briefings, product presentations, and CPD seminars to architectural and consulting firms.
  • Documentation & Submissions: Manage technical compliance by preparing specification documents, technical datasheets, material confirmation sheets, and formal submission packages.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Track upcoming projects, maintain an active project pipeline, and systematically log all specifier contact data in the CRM.
  • Specification Defense & Conversion: Protect specified products against competitor substitutions through project award, partnering with sales to convert specifications into closed orders.
  • Technical Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert on profile options, coatings, colors, structural spans, fixing details, and regulatory compliance.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and report industry trends, competitor movements, pricing dynamics, and pipeline performance directly to the Managing Director.

About The Requirement

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building, or Construction Management.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in technical sales, specification work, or consultative selling within building materials (e.g., metal roofing, steel products, insulation, waterproofing, or architectural finishes).
  • Key Requirement: Proven, established relationships with architects and engineering consultants.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong presentation skills for professional audiences; possesses a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and a willingness to travel.
