About the role
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production test solutions for electronic and IoT products. This role ensures product quality, reliability, and manufacturability by designing test hardware and software, analyzing test data, and supporting mass production, NPI, and continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities
Test Development & Validation
- Design, develop, and validate production test systems for PCBA and finished IoT products
- Create test specifications, test plans, and test procedures based on product requirements
- Develop and debug ATE, functional test, and system‑level test solutions
- Support DFT (Design for Testability) reviews with R&D teams
Manufacturing & Production Support
- Support NPI (New Product Introduction) test readiness and ramp‑up activities
- Troubleshoot test failures and manufacturing issues during pilot and mass production
- Improve test coverage, test time (UPH), and yield
- Work closely with Production, Process, Quality, and R&D teams
Test Hardware & Software
- Design and maintain test fixtures, jigs, probes, and cabling
- Develop test software using LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, or similar platforms
- Interface with instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF testers
- Maintain test equipment calibration and documentation
Data Analysis & Quality Improvement
- Analyze test data to identify failure trends and root causes
- Drive yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Support FA (Failure Analysis) and corrective actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, IPC, customer specs)
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain test reports, SOPs, WI, and ECN documentation
- Ensure test processes comply with safety and regulatory requirements (CE, FCC, etc.)
About you
- EducationTechnical SkillsManufacturing KnowledgePreferred / Added Advantage
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, digital & analog fundamentals
- Experience with PCBA testing, functional testing, and system testing
- Familiar with IoT technologies (Wi‑Fi, BLE, Zigbee, LTE, sensors, MCU)
- Hands‑on experience with test equipment and ATE systems
- Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and datasheets
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, assembly, test flow)
- Experience supporting high‑volume production environments
- Experience in RF testing and wireless certification pre‑compliance
- Knowledge of MES integration and database logging
- Experience with automation, scripting, or vision systems
- Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or SPC
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
