Full Time QAQC SUPERVISOR Jobs, Salary up to MYR 3,000 in IPS PRECAST SDN BHD Johor - Maukerja

1. Job Purpose
To supervise and coordinate QA/QC activities for the casting production process, ensuring products comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, inspection procedures, and customer requirements from pre-pour preparation through post-pour inspection and pre-delivery release.

2. Key Responsibilities – Casting QA/QC

· Supervise daily QA/QC activities for casting production and ensure inspections are carried out according to the approved inspection requirements.

· Review and verify approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection checklists, and relevant quality requirements before casting activities.

· Coordinate and conduct pre-pour inspections to verify formwork, dimensions, reinforcement, embedded items, openings, inserts, cast-in items, surface condition, cleanliness, and other specified requirements.

· Ensure all pre-pour inspection items are checked, recorded, and cleared before concrete pouring starts.

· Coordinate with Production and relevant personnel to rectify defects or incomplete works identified during pre-pour inspection.

· Supervise concrete pouring activities and ensure required QA/QC checks are performed during casting.

· Verify concrete delivery information, concrete grade, batch details, slump or other required tests, sampling, and relevant records in accordance with project and company requirements.

· Ensure proper identification and traceability of cast units, including production date, batch information, mould/reference details, and other required markings.

· Conduct and supervise post-pour inspections to identify dimensional, surface, finishing, cracking, honeycomb, voids, alignment, embedded-item, and other casting defects.

· Ensure defects identified during post-pour inspection are properly recorded, evaluated, repaired where approved, and re-inspected before acceptance.

· Conduct final quality checks before products are released for storage, handling, or delivery.

· Perform pre-delivery inspection to verify product condition, dimensions, identification, appearance, repair status, lifting points, and other specified requirements.

· Ensure only products that meet the required quality criteria are released for delivery.

· Monitor and control non-conforming products, ensuring proper identification, segregation, disposition, and follow-up.

· Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs, repair records, test results, and other QA/QC documentation.

· Monitor recurring casting defects and coordinate with Production to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Support internal, customer, consultant, and external quality inspections or audits when required.

3. Supervision of QA/QC Checkers

· Supervise and coordinate the daily work of QA/QC checkers to ensure inspection activities are completed on time and according to requirements.

· Assign inspection areas and responsibilities to QA/QC checkers based on production schedules and priorities.

· Verify the accuracy and completeness of inspection records prepared by QA/QC checkers.

· Conduct spot checks and cross-check inspections to ensure QA/QC checkers are applying the correct inspection criteria.

· Guide and coach QA/QC checkers on drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, defect identification, and documentation.

· Monitor checker performance, attendance, discipline, and compliance with QA/QC procedures.

· Ensure proper communication and handover between QA/QC checkers across shifts or production stages.

· Escalate major quality issues and repeated inspection failures to QA/QC management and Production.

4. Pre-Pour Inspection

· Verify mould/formwork dimensions, condition, cleanliness, alignment, level, and release agent application where applicable.

· Check reinforcement, cover, spacing, bar arrangement, and related requirements against approved drawings.

· Verify embedded items, sleeves, openings, lifting anchors, inserts, plates, and other cast-in components.

· Confirm identification and traceability requirements are in place.

· Ensure outstanding issues from previous inspections are closed before pour approval.

· Record inspection results and obtain the required approval/clearance before concrete pouring.

5. Post-Pour & Pre-Delivery Inspection

· Inspect finished cast products for dimensions, shape, alignment, surface finish, cracks, honeycombing, voids, chips, exposed reinforcement, and other defects.

· Verify repairs are carried out according to approved procedures and are properly re-inspected.

· Confirm product identification and traceability are maintained after casting.

· Carry out final acceptance checks before transfer to storage or delivery.

· Ensure products are properly prepared, protected, and in acceptable condition before loading and dispatch.

6. Non-Conformance & Corrective Action

· Identify and report quality non-conformities promptly.

· Raise or support NCRs and ensure affected products are controlled.

· Coordinate with Production to determine root causes and corrective actions.

· Follow up on repair, rework, and corrective actions until closure.

· Monitor repeated defects and recommend preventive actions to reduce recurrence.

7. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Compliance with pre-pour, post-pour, and pre-delivery inspection requirements.

· Reduction in casting defects, rejection, rework, and customer complaints.

· Timely identification and closure of non-conformities.

· Accuracy and completeness of QA/QC inspection documentation.

· Timely completion of inspections according to the production schedule.

· Effective supervision and performance of QA/QC checkers.

· Improvement in recurring casting quality issues.

8. Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.

· Relevant QA/QC experience in precast concrete, concrete casting, construction, or manufacturing is preferred.

· Supervisory experience managing QA/QC inspectors or checkers is preferred.

· Able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and quality documents.

· Knowledge of concrete casting, pre-pour and post-pour inspection, dimensional inspection, and defect control.

· Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

· Computer literate and able to prepare inspection reports and maintain QA/QC records.

9. Working Requirements

· Willing to work on a 5.5-day work scheme and support overtime when required by production or project schedules.

· Able to work on the production floor and conduct inspections in a casting/manufacturing environment.

· Able to coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse, and other relevant departments.

10. General Duties

Perform other QA/QC and production-related duties assigned by management from time to time, provided they are relevant to the position and department.
