  • Enjoy flexible working options and generous pension contributions as part of a comprehensive benefits package that prioritises your well-being, work-life balance, and long-term prosperity.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Engineering Manager in Penang’s thriving manufacturing sector, you’ll be at the heart of operational excellence—commissioning process equipment to meet rigorous standards while acting as a trusted process owner for key areas. Your daily routine will involve developing documentation for both established products and exciting new launches, ensuring seamless integration onto the production floor. You’ll collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to drive improvements, qualify vendors and materials, resolve discrepancies efficiently, and uphold patient safety every step of the way. By leading quality initiatives alongside maintaining capacity models with supervisors, you’ll play a vital role in achieving business objectives. You’ll also coach technical staff through structured training frameworks while nurturing collaborative relationships throughout the organisation. Success here means embracing hands-on teamwork combined with analytical thinking as you guide teams towards continuous improvement in an energetic environment where every contribution matters.

  • Identify, order, and commission essential process equipment according to CGMP standards within the Operations Engineering Cycle to help achieve key business goals.
  • Serve as the engineering process owner for designated areas, making sure all procedures align perfectly with commercial product requirements and new product launches.
  • Create and update manufacturing documentation such as assembly procedures and BOMs to support both current products and exciting new launches on the production floor.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure new products meet business targets for quality, output, and cost while fostering a spirit of cooperation.
  • Continuously enhance manufacturing processes to improve product quality, boost output, and reduce defects through thoughtful analysis and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Carry out qualification activities for products, processes, vendors, components, assemblies, tooling, and suppliers to guarantee compliance with specifications.
  • Support material discrepancy review and disposition activities (MRB) for commercial products while maintaining unwavering standards of patient safety and product quality.
  • Lead quality initiatives including corrective/preventive actions (NCEP, CAPA) to help achieve organisational quality goals in a nurturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate capacity models in partnership with line supervisors and plan ahead for capital requirements with a communal approach.
  • Coach, train, and uplift the productivity of technical reports within the business while building strong collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

What You Bring

To shine as an Associate Engineering Manager in Penang’s manufacturing landscape, you’ll bring deep experience gained over at least ten years within engineering environments. Project management proficiency enables you to plan non-routine tasks efficiently within multi-project settings. Your interpersonal strengths—negotiation skills coupled with effective verbal and written communication—help build trust-based relationships throughout the organisation. These qualities make you dependable when navigating time-sensitive challenges alongside multidisciplinary colleagues.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required for this position so you can bring solid academic foundations to your work.

  • Excellent report writing skills are required for generating clear documentation, specifications, and technical reports that foster understanding across teams.
  • Advanced process improvement capabilities are needed to drive enhancements in product quality and output through shared efforts.
