Job Scope
You are responsible for leading and managing the technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects. This includes overseeing design reviews, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, supervising on-site work, and ensuring that projects are executed according to specifications, timeline, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination/Execution
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing detailed project plans, work schedules, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are clearly communicated and understood.
- Lead technical meetings and support project kick-off, progress, and closing sessions.
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, budget & deliverables
2. Engineering & Technical Supervision
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Monitor site work to ensure it follows approved plans, design standards, and project scope.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on-site in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and engineering reports.
3. Quality & Compliance Assurance
- Ensure project works comply with relevant codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Carry out inspections and ensure workmanship and materials meet specified requirements.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities as required.
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Track project progress and prepare weekly/monthly technical and site reports.
- Highlight any delays or challenges to the Project Manager and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure that site records, drawings, and reports are kept up to date.
5. Team & Contractor Supervision
- Lead and supervise junior engineers, site supervisors, and technical staff.
- Monitor contractor work performance and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and quality.
- Support project team development and mentor junior staff when required.
6. Procurement & Material Coordination
- Assist in reviewing material specifications and technical submissions.
- Coordinate delivery and usage of materials at site in line with project progress.
- Ensure proper handling and installation of equipment and components.
7. Other Duties
- Attend site visits, inspections, and client or consultant meetings as required.
- Support the Project Manager in ad-hoc project and engineering tasks.
- Carry out other duties as assigned in line with the project’s needs.
- Assist in project proposal/ tender& reviewing bids from contractors
Other Notes
- Must demonstrate technical leadership, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks or projects concurrently.
- Must uphold professionalism and good communication in all internal and external interactions.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
