About the Role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Production cum Maintenance Engineer for its Malaysia operations. The role combines production engineering support and equipment maintenance, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, equipment reliability and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily production operations and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot machinery faults, investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production and technical teams to support operational requirements.
• Maintain production and maintenance records.
• Support workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing production and equipment maintenance.
• Strong equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage operational priorities and work effectively across teams.
