Assistant Restaurant Manager

Role Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of a fast-paced Quick Service Restaurant (QSR). The role will assist in leading the restaurant team, maintaining service standards, managing daily operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift Management: Oversee daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, crew deployment, and maintaining efficient service during peak hours.
- Staff Leadership: Support the hiring, training, scheduling, and motivation of restaurant crew members to achieve operational and performance targets.
- Customer Service: Handle customer feedback and complaints while ensuring a clean, welcoming, and efficient dining experience.
- Inventory & Ordering: Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory counts, and coordinate ordering of ingredients and supplies to prevent shortages.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Financial & Cost Control: Monitor daily sales, cash handling, waste, and labour costs to support efficient restaurant operations.
- Team Performance: Support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining service quality, operational standards, and overall restaurant performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in restaurant, hospitality, or fast-food operations, preferably with supervisory or shift-leading experience.
- Minimum high school education; Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Willing to undergo 1–1.5 months of training in Kulai before being placed at the Batu Pahat outlet (hostel provided).
Training
Selected candidates are required to complete 1–1.5 months of training in Kulai. Hostel accommodation will be provided during the training period.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
