This is a highly visible role leading a large organisation partnering closely with both suppliers and key customers, while navigating a fast-paced environment where delivery, capacity, inventory and customer demands must be constantly balanced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall supply chain, procurement, materials and supplier management functions for a large manufacturing operation.

  • Establish strong partnerships with key suppliers to improve quality, delivery performance, responsiveness and long-term supply assurance.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers, ensuring alignment on supply plans, priorities, and business requirements.
  • Drive proactive risk management and contingency planning to minimize operational disruptions and protect revenue opportunities.
  • Provide strategic direction and prioritization to procurement and planning teams in a dynamic environment with shifting business demands.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes, systems and operational workflows.
  • Leverage technology and data-driven decision making to strengthen supply chain visibility, responsiveness and execution.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators covering inventory, supplier performance, customer service, material availability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching, succession planning and leadership development.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience within a complex advanced manufacturing environment within EMS or ODM.
  • Track record leading sizeable procurement, supply chain, materials or sourcing teams, including management of large operational organizations.
  • Strong experience managing supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and supply continuity challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence both customers and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments where agility, execution and responsiveness are critical.
  • Excellent conflict management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive collaborative outcomes across multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload effectively and guide teams through rapidly changing operational requirements.
  • Interest in leveraging digital tools, automation, AI or emerging technologies to improve supply chain performance would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, materials management, planning, inventory control and supply chain operations.
