Requirements
Possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably within the property services or facilities management sector.
Proven ability to perform electrical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting wiring issues, repairing electrical components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Skilled in plumbing repair, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and maintaining water systems.
Experience with HVAC troubleshooting and basic repair, including identifying and resolving common issues with air conditioning and ventilation systems.
Proficient in general building maintenance, covering aspects like carpentry, painting, and minor structural repairs.
Demonstrated understanding and application of preventive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and ensure optimal building performance.
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a maintenance environment, including the proper use of tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to effectively perform maintenance and repair tasks.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
Willingness to work full-time and be based onsite in George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels, to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Conduct diagnostic tests and repairs for plumbing issues, such as leaks, blockages, and fixture malfunctions, ensuring efficient water supply and drainage throughout the facility.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, and ventilation equipment, to maintain comfortable and healthy indoor environments.
Execute general building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, and minor structural repairs, to preserve the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the property.
Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems and equipment, identifying potential issues before they lead to costly breakdowns.
Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of tools and equipment, and participate in safety training sessions.
Interpret and utilize blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems and perform installations or repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize disruption.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent, for reporting and inventory purposes.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors as needed to complete complex repair or installation projects.
