Responsibilities
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and order requirements.
- Translate demand plans into production schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of production lines, machinery, manpower, and plant capacity.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure the availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and other production supplies.
- Monitor material requirements against production schedules to prevent shortages and minimize production disruptions.
- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory to ensure appropriate stock levels.
- Monitor key planning KPIs, including production plan attainment, schedule adherence, capacity utilization, inventory turnover, material availability, and wastage.
- Analyze production variances, recurring bottlenecks, and planning inefficiencies, and implement improvement initiatives.
- Improve planning processes, systems, and reporting accuracy using ERP/MRP systems and data analysis.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
- Experience managing plant-level production schedules, material requirements, and manufacturing capacity.
- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, production scheduling, and demand planning principles.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
- Experience leading or supervising a planning team is preferred.
