Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Production & Wastewater)

Working Hours: 8:30AM-5:00PM, 6 days per week (45 hours per week)

Job Summary
Responsible for chemical analysis of production line bath solutions and monitoring/operating the wastewater treatment system to ensure production quality and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bath Solution Analysis: Perform regular testing of indicators and impurities for phosphating, electroplating, and galvanizing lines. Guide chemical dosing and tank maintenance based on test results.

• Wastewater Treatment & Testing: Operate wastewater treatment equipment (pumps, mixers, filter presses). Conduct water quality tests (pH, COD, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, etc.) and adjust treatment processes to ensure discharge compliance.

• Lab Management: Prepare reagents and indicators; maintain laboratory instruments and perform internal calibrations; manage inventory of lab consumables.

• Process Improvement: Update SOPs and identify potential risks or inefficiencies in chemical usage or wastewater handling.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial laboratory. Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operation is highly preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in titration and chemical analysis. Familiar with pH, COD, and salt spray testing. Basic knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment processes (coagulation, sedimentation).

• Competencies: High responsibility, detail-oriented, and capable of handling chemical substances safely.
