Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire process of APQP quality module implementation, formulating project quality plans, phased quality objectives, and control schemes.
- Coordinate project quality risk assessments, developing specific control measures for key processes and special characteristics to avoid major quality risks before mass production.
- Manage the entire process of new product prototype development, following up on issues arising during prototype trial production and dimensional inspection, organizing internal analysis, and promoting closed-loop rectification.
- Lead quality control during the trial production phase, tracking trial production process parameters and process quality data, and promptly handling trial production anomalies.
- Responsible for collecting, compiling, submitting, and obtaining customer approval for PPAP documentation.
- Liaise with the customer's quality department, promptly responding to customer requests for quality audits and consultations in the early stages of the project, reporting project quality progress, and handling quality issues reported by the customer.
- Assist in completing process audits for new production lines/new processes to ensure that the mass production process meets quality control requirements.
- Coordinate quality-related work during project handover to mass production, identifying and closing all quality issues throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the integrity of the quality control system during the mass production phase.
- Track initial quality indicators (defect rate, PPM) during the project's mass production phase, promptly identify quality fluctuations and initiate anomaly handling, and promote problem rectification.
- Cooperate with internal and external quality audits (customer second-party audits, system audits), develop rectification plans for project quality issues identified during audits, and track closure.
- Develop inspection specifications, review and accept inspection tooling plans, and conduct process studies such as SPC, CPK/PPK, MSA/VDA5, etc.
- Responsible for quality activities within the production plant, such as chairing quick response meetings and updating quick response records.
- Lead regular internal quality-based production line audits, track internal quality performance, and be responsible for the regular statistical tracking and visualization of relevant data.
- Lead data-driven improvement activities and track the progress of process improvements
- Responsible for managing customer quality requirements in the new project phases and before mass production and delivered them internally.
- Act as the internal interface for customer PPAP requirements, leading quality audits involving customers, internal departments, and third parties.
- Communicate with SQE and directly guide incoming material inspection work, statistically track supplier quality performance, and work with SQE to propose targeted rectification needs and form supplier evaluations.
- Responsible for the quality performance of parts handed over within the factory, identifying and tracking specific issues.
Job Requirements:
- Quality management experience in an automotive parts manufacturing plant, assembly experience preferred
- Familiar with quality control methods and requirements on the production floor
- Familiar with IATF16949 and VDA6.3-6.5
- Familiar with quality tools
- Experience in solving practical 8D problems
- Excellent spoken English, able to communicate with clients, and familiar with PPAP documents
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
