Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor – responsible for supervising and coordinating all assembly line operations during assigned shifts to ensure production targets, product quality, safety, and operational efficiency are achieved. This role involves managing assembly operators, monitoring workflow, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily assembly line activities during assigned shifts.
- Ensure production output meets planned schedules, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
- Monitor assembly processes and ensure all operations follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead, guide, and support assembly operators and technicians to achieve optimal performance.
- Ensure proper manpower allocation and workflow balance across assembly stations.
- Identify and resolve assembly-related issues to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
- Monitor product quality and coordinate corrective actions for defects or non-conformance.
- Conduct line inspections and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate production records, shift reports, rejection reports, and downtime logs.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to support smooth operations.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve team competency and productivity.
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly efficiency, reduce waste, and improve process flow.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of assembly tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Enforce workplace discipline and adherence to company policies and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field,
- 1-2 years of experience in a assembly/manufacturing operations environment, Fresh graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and handle shift responsibilities independently.
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, production systems, etc.).
Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
